Citi is seeking a highly accomplished Infrastructure Group Manager with a strong focus on Block Storage to oversee large-scale Storage Area Network (SAN) and Software-Defined Block Storage infrastructure worldwide. The role involves strategic oversight, infrastructure management, team leadership, and ensuring compliance while transforming Citi’s block storage estate.

Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement global storage strategies, roadmaps, and policies

Infrastructure Management: Manage large SAN environments, Software-Defined Storage (i.e. PowerFlex) including provisioning, zoning, upgrades, and performance tuning

Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead globally dispersed storage operations teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with network, server, security, and application teams to resolve issues and support business needs

Capacity & Performance: Proactively plan for capacity, monitor utilization, and resolve performance bottlenecks

Security & Compliance: Implement security patching, access controls, and ensure regulatory compliance

Vendor & Budget Management: Oversee third-party vendors (like logistics/support) and manage budgets

This will involve management and leadership over the entire global block storage estate including both software-defined and legacy storage array technologies

Managing a 24x7 follow the sun operations and support model for delivering seamless storage services to our internal customers

Required

10+ years of progressive and distinguished experience as a senior storage/technical leader in a large (global) enterprise environment

Deep knowledge of SAN/SDS Block Storage technologies (e.g., Dell, NetApp, Pure Storage, IBM)

Operating Systems (Linux and Windows)

Fibre Channel (Cisco and Brocade)

IP Networking (NVMe-of-Fabric and iSCSI)

X86 Hardware (Dell and/or HPE)

Proven ability to lead, set vision, and manage large-scale operations

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-zone issues

Ability to create scalable, sustainable operational models

Excellent communication, cross-cultural management, and stakeholder management

Bachelor's degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required
