Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and support schedules to be provided to internal management and partners
Assemble, review, and approve monthly journal entries including joint venture billings
Conduct research and analysis for ad hoc questions or requests from partners
Partner with other groups inside the company including Business Development, Treasury and Reporting
Arrange and coordinate cash calls and cash distributions with partners
Compile and review account reconciliations and monthly budget to actual variance analysis
Put together and analyze large volume of data from ERP system to facilitate monthly cost allocation process
Prepare and review Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Form 2 and Form 3-Q in addition to the annual Texas Commission (RRC) filings
Develop FERC/RRC rate case related schedules and supporting documentation
Coordinate and interact with internal and external auditors on quarterly and year-end audits
Ensure compliance with SOX controls and related reporting requirements
Provide guidance to analysts as needed and complete special projects as required
Qualification
Required
4+ years of related work experience in addition to a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills
Work independently while being able to multitask and prioritize competing priorities
Research and evaluate financial data independently
An excellent written and verbal communicator who can connect effectively with all levels within the organization
Preferred
CPA Designation
