Responsibilities

Design and develop significant new features that enable Security Engineers to efficiently identify, assess and remediate vulnerabilities across Amazon's systems
Collaborate with security and technical teams worldwide to understand requirements and create effective solutions for vulnerability management
Participate actively in code reviews, providing meaningful feedback to team members and contributing to the full software development lifecycle
Demonstrate operational excellence in your work, ensuring that root causes of operational issues are identified and resolved with permanent fixes
Develop and maintain the vulnerability knowledge base while automating the vulnerability workflow and process
Earning trust in all directions; building partnerships with technical internal Amazon stakeholders WW
System resilience testing and preparation

Required

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Knowledge of batch and streaming data architectures like Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Storm, Beam

Preferred

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale
Scripting skills (e.g., Perl, Python shell scripting)
Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems
