Responsibilities

Plan, manage and oversee the daily functions, operations and activities of the Manufacturing Engineer team
Evaluate the manufacturing process to identify areas of improvement, including team performance and the plant’s quality and profitability
Direct projects with overall responsibility for the implementation and monitoring of new products of broad scope into the plant
Improve manufacturing efficiencies while maintaining the highest level of quality
Provide timely product and process support for any manufacturing area to diagnose problems and implement solutions to minimize interruptions to production
Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedural document requirements

Required

4-year degree or equivalent education, preferable degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Process Engineering
Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing plant with a minimum of 4 years management experience
Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
Demonstrated project management and leadership ability
Ability to prioritize and manage workload with multiple deadlines
Knowledge of simulation, process modeling, and value stream mapping
Must be self-motivated and able to motivate and effectively lead
High degree of interpersonal and communication skills required to work with all levels of management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems such as: Microsoft Office, ERP system, including CAD exposure
