UX Designer III - AI

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering colleagues to design end-to-end experiences: translate concepts into user flows, visualizations and prototypes that lead to intuitive, delightful user experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
Ensure a user-centered design approach, rapid test and learn methodology. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and researchers to ensure that design solutions align with user needs as well as meet WEX business objectives
Experiment with AI capabilities, from generative AI to chatbots and predictive models, to identify opportunities for user-centric innovation
Plan and conduct research independently or with guidance from researcher partners using a wide range of methods (such as usability testing, interviews, field studies, concept testing, surveys, etc.)
Conduct and synthesize competitive UX analysis to inform design direction and identify whitespace for innovation
Understand and apply appropriate analysis methods to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
Seek to understand WEX’s corporate strategy, the competitive environment and market trends and how our products can create value
Ensure that every AI-driven solution starts and ends with the user in mind, creating experiences that feel personal, intuitive, and valuable
Shape the design strategy leveraging AI capabilities across WEX’s diverse products, ensuring a cohesive and scalable approach
Actively explore and apply emerging AI technologies, finding new ways to enhance user experiences
Champion for best in class outcomes while fostering alignment and inspiring innovation
Leverage rapid testing and feedback loops to refine designs and optimize AI integrations for real-world use
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience as a UX Designer, or similar UX related role, with a focus on complex, technology-driven products or services
Bachelor's degree with studies relevant to digital experience creation, graduate program is a plus
A deep understanding of user motivation and an ability to uncover insights that have lead to meaningful, delightful user experiences
A deep passion for AI technologies and their potential to transform user experiences, demonstrated through personal or professional projects
Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with prototyping tools and design systems tailored for AI-driven experiences
Strong curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges with creativity and collaboration
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities, navigate ambiguity, have fun doing so with a team of peers
Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and advocate for AI innovation across stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with UX-specific research tools (e.g. UserTesting.com, Qualtrics, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail) is desirable
