Responsibilities

Assist with the planning, scheduling, and development of verification analysis tools
Assist with or support the coordination, development, and maintenance of analysis and test-tracking tools
Ensure proper backup and archiving of test products and analysis datasets (backup data manager role)

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related STEM discipline with 1 year of relevant work experience
Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
The candidate is expected to travel as needed (less than 10%), but most work will be conducted at Schriever SFB. Some non-standard work hours may be required due to test event schedules

Preferred

Master's Degree in Systems Engineering is highly preferred
Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)
Participate in research and analysis to identify meaningful metrics, patterns, and trends in the test datasets, and apply statistical methods to validate or reject hypotheses about the data
Techniques may include visualization, simulation, and system modeling to achieve the desired analytical results
Should possess technical skills to assist in developing software tools to evaluate software, algorithms, and processes used to build the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) element of the Missile Defense System (MDS)
Should be able to assist test tool analysts with technical troubleshooting and analysis of test traceability
Should be able to participate in developing straightforward solutions to technical problems discovered and help develop actionable insights for C2BMC decision-makers
It is highly desirable that the candidate has experience with message-based analysis and MDS elements or components, including operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot, GMD, THAAD, SBX) in either a test or operational environment
Experience with COTS modeling, simulation, and analysis tools is also desired
Experience in message-based analysis of complex systems, or other analysis experience
Experience with object-oriented coding skills (e.g., Python, Java) or the ability to learn them
Experience with the Linux environment
Experience with relational databases, including use and maintenance, desired
Experience with software testing and analysis tools
Desired skills: Python programming experience
Bash or similar scripting experience
Strong sense of how data 'tells a story'
Use of spreadsheets for data analysis and related tools
Experience manipulating large data sets
Development of software testing and analysis tools
Development and automation of data management processes and tools
Strong teamwork skills
