They are seeking an Attorney I for the General Misdemeanor Division to review, investigate, prosecute, and present cases to judges, conduct hearings, and provide counsel and training to local law enforcement.

Responsibilities
Reviews, investigates, prosecutes, and presents cases to judges and conducts hearings and jury trials of criminal cases
Counsels and trains local law enforcement, prepares arrest and search warrants, researches legal issues, negotiate plea bargains, coordinates victims and witnesses and prepares subpoenas, and is responsible for discovery production
Strong case evaluation, writing, and communication skills will be required

Bar dues and CLE are paid for by the office
Qualification
Required
Texas licensed attorneys in good standing
At least one year of job-related experience
Strong case evaluation, writing, and communication skills
Preferred
Relevant internship or advocacy experience
