IT Systems Administrator – Level II
Confidential company is seeking an IT Systems Administrator – Level II to manage and optimize their IT infrastructure. The role involves administering core systems, providing support for complex technical issues, and collaborating on security initiatives and system improvements.

Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and monitor servers (physical and virtual), including Windows Server environments
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services
Administer cloud productivity platforms including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Meet, and Admin Console)
Manage user accounts, permissions, security settings, and licensing across Microsoft and Google environments
Perform system upgrades, patches, backups, and recovery testing
Monitor system performance and proactively address issues
Support LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
Administer security controls across Microsoft and Google platforms, including MFA, access policies, and endpoint protections
Support email security, spam filtering, and phishing mitigation within Gmail and Microsoft Exchange environments
Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, audits, and compliance requirements
Maintain asset inventory, access logs, and system documentation
Act as Tier 2 escalation for complex technical issues from Help Desk or Tier 1 support
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues
Provide advanced support for Gmail, Google Drive sharing permissions, Google Calendar, and collaboration tools
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including system access, equipment provisioning, and account management
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Tier 1 IT staff
Participate in IT projects such as system migrations, email platform transitions, and new software implementations
Assist with documentation, SOP development, and process improvement initiatives
Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers
Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, reliability, and user experience
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or related roles
Strong experience with Windows Server environments
Active Directory & Group Policy
Google Workspace administration (Gmail, Drive, Admin Console)
Microsoft 365 / Azure AD
Endpoint management and troubleshooting
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls)
Experience supporting end users in a professional environment
Preferred
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft and Google environments
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards
Experience with IT ticketing systems and documentation platforms
Relevant certifications (preferred, not required)
Google Workspace Administrator
Microsoft (MCSA, MS-102, Azure)
CompTIA Network+ or Security+
VMware certifications
