ServiceNow Platform Leader
Cummins Inc. is seeking a talented ServiceNow Platform Leader to join their team specializing in Systems/Information Technology. Responsibilities
Drive Financial Stewardship Lead AOP, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure responsible financial management and alignment with strategic goals
Develop and Empower Talent Oversee performance management, career development, and team structure to build a high-performing, globally integrated team
Foster Team Cohesion Build a strong, collaborative culture through effective team building, recruitment, and global team leadership
Deliver Insightful Reporting Compile and present performance metrics and deliverable statuses to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making
Ensure Operational Excellence Champion adherence to IT policies, security standards, and Six Sigma practices to maintain compliance and drive quality
Lead Strategic Programs Govern and guide the execution of key IT programs and projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and successful delivery
Strengthen Business Partnerships Engage with internal customers and apply Business Relationship Management practices to deliver IT solutions that create business value
Promote IT Controls and Compliance Ensure your team meets all IT controls and compliance requirements, safeguarding systems and data integrity
ServiceNow Platform Leadership
Own the end-to-end architecture, design, and performance of the ServiceNow platform
Lead platform governance, including development standards, naming conventions, and release management
Manage platform upgrades, patching, and instance strategy
Oversee the development and deployment of new modules, applications, and integrations
CMDB Ownership
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the CMDB
Define and enforce CMDB governance, including data ownership, reconciliation rules, and compliance
Ensure CMDB supports ITSM, ITOM, and business service mapping
Drive CMDB health initiatives, including completeness, correctness, and compliance metrics
Provide technical leadership in scripting (JavaScript, Glide), integrations (REST/SOAP), and automation (Flow Designer, IntegrationHub)
Guide the use of Discovery, Service Mapping, and third-party integrations (e.g., SCCM, Tanium)
Ensure platform security through role-based access control and data policies
Support CI/CD practices and automated testing using ATF and DevOps tools
Manage and mentor a team of ServiceNow developers, architects, and analysts
Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, feedback, and career development
Align team capacity with strategic priorities and ensure delivery excellence
Define and maintain the ServiceNow roadmap aligned with enterprise goals
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Lead platform governance boards and architecture councils
Drive user adoption, training, and change management initiatives
Define and monitor KPIs for platform performance, CMDB health, and process efficiency
Leverage Performance Analytics and Reporting to deliver actionable insights
Qualification
Required
3-4 years of experience with ServiceNow, including platform administration and architecture
3-4 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing enterprise platforms
Proven experience with CMDB design, implementation, and governance
Strong knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, and related ServiceNow modules
Expertise in scripting, integrations, and platform automation
Experience with platform governance, security, and compliance
Financial acumen to interpret key financial indicators and make sound, strategic business decisions
Team-building skills to create high-performing, diverse teams aligned around shared goals
Effective communication to deliver clear, audience-specific messages across multiple channels
Strong decision-making to act quickly and wisely, keeping initiatives and teams moving forward
Self-awareness to reflect on feedback and continuously grow in leadership and effectiveness

College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required
Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience, required
Broad business knowledge required
Preferred
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
