Regional Environmental Engineer, AWS Environmental Team
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Regional Environmental Engineer to join their dynamic environmental team. The role involves managing environmental compliance at AWS data centers, developing standards and policies for regulatory compliance, and fostering relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective environmental practices.

Responsibilities
Manage and oversee compliance with environmental regulations and Amazon policy
Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization
Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards
Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance
Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement
Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently
Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company
Build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately
Assist in time-critical compliance report submission to various governmental agencies
Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective action
Qualification
Required
Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs including regulated waste, water, and air regulations in accordance with applicable laws
5+ years experience as environmental compliance specialist
Preferred
Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains
Experience in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, service operations, or related fields
Travel up to 25% of the time
Experience in projects in Mississippi or other Southern States
