Apex Skin is a physician-led and rapidly growing dermatology practice committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences. We are seeking a talented and motivated Mohs Medical Assistant to support our providers with both clinical and administrative tasks in a surgery setting.

Responsibilities

Performs initial patient assessment, evaluation, and health survey data

Provide pre-and post-optative education for both patient and family members

Prepping room, instruments, and patient for surgery or biopsies

Assist during surgeries by administering anesthesia, handoff instruments & cut sutures

Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining patient consent and maintaining records and documentation

Transcribes the entire visit and assures documentation of patient care is compliant

Performs clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments and follow-up appointments, maintaining and following up with patient biopsy results, answering phones, and scanning documents into the EMR

Monitor and complete lab documents, biopsy and culture book, telephone encounters, and team task box within the EMR

Maintains nursing practice consistent with OSHA, HIPPA, QA safety regulations

Assists with autoclave procedures and quality controls
