This critical role will partner with IT team members and stakeholders across the company to understand portfolio needs and deliver outcomes that support company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
Oversee the governance, execution, and delivery of complex IT programs and initiatives (70%):
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT programs across multiple teams
Develop and implement program governance frameworks and methodologies
Monitor program progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve dependencies and conflicts
Lead program steering committees and decision-making forums
Manage governance, communications, and partner relationships (30%):
Establish and maintain effective governance structures for the IT portfolio
Develop and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed
Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and IT stakeholders
Provide regular status updates and reporting to executive leadership
Facilitate alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure transparency across all IT initiatives
Additional responsibilities:
Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps and prioritization frameworks
Lead resource allocation and capacity planning across the IT portfolio
Implement portfolio management tools and processes to improve visibility and decision-making
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
Mentor and develop team members in program and portfolio management practices (matrixed)
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
5 – 7 years of experience in IT portfolio management, program management, or related roles
Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT programs and portfolios
Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and portfolio management methodologies
Experience with program management tools and techniques (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong leadership abilities with experience influencing without direct authority
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in stakeholder management and building strong partner relationships
Knowledge of Agile and traditional project management methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in budget management and resource allocation
Understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and development processes
Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, ITIL, SAFe) are a plus
