Responsibilities

Provides administrative and operational support to the Director of Oakland University/William Beaumont Hospital Graduate Program of Nurse Anesthesia

Provides instructional support and educational coordination for the Assistant Director, Clinical Coordinators, Clinical Faculty and Nurse Anesthesia students, affiliate hospitals and distance education sites

Required

Bachelor's Degree in business/health administration or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Knowledge of and familiarity with academic programs, institutions and procedures

Previous administrative experience in an academic and/or hospital setting providing administrative support and service areas within the healthcare arena

Experience with clinical placement and contract management

Must be able to relate well and develop working rapport with faculty/staff, internal department and the external healthcare community

Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Demonstrated ability to automate and improve processes, and work at a high level of accuracy

Must possess a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University's insurance carrier

Preferred

Master's degree

Ability to operate videoconferencing equipment

Knowledge of medical terminology

Previous experience as a university-based program coordinator
