Cut and Trim Technician

GE Vernova is seeking a Cut and Trim Technician to perform a variety of tasks related to blade maintenance. The role involves trimming, scuffing, and reinforcing blades while adhering to safety and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

Follow work instructions and adapt to the work instructions as they change
Scuff laminate surface with pneumatic grinder. (Take the gloss off)
Remove laminate defects with different pneumatic tools
Apply glue to areas that have voids (inside and outside the blade)
Employees working inside the blade must adhere to confined space plan
May work with variety of chemicals
Grind excess glass & Resin inside and outside the root end
Clean out inside of blade of dust debris
Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines
Maintain 5s standards

Required

Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs
Ability to push/pull heavy objects
Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors
Ability to work with hands for an extended period
Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Requires usage of respirator
Lam I, Lam II certifications (not required – must complete practical to obtain)

Preferred

High School Diploma/GED or related experience
Previous Manufacturing experience
