Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Leo (Kuiper)

Amazon is launching a long-term initiative to design and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites for broadband connectivity. They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to optimize financial planning and analysis, build financial models, and deliver insights that influence strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain comprehensive financial models that reflect marketing strategy and enable data-driven decision making
Partner with marketing stakeholders to analyze performance data, identify trends, and draft written recommendations to optimize Leo's return on marketing investments
Develop and implement scalable reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into key performance indicators and spending effectiveness for executive leadership
Lead the review and approval process for marketing spend requests, ensuring alignment with financial guardrails and business objectives
Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance data quality, and increase operational efficiency across the Leo Marketing organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
3+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
Experience working with stakeholders
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Fundamental knowledge of Marketing finance, ideally in a subscription-based business
