Research Scientist Intern, Quantum Algorithms, Center for Quantum Computing
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. As a Research Science intern with the Quantum Algorithms Team at CQC, you will work alongside global experts to develop novel quantum algorithms and evaluate prospective applications of fault-tolerant quantum computers.

Responsibilities
Develop novel quantum algorithms
Evaluate prospective applications of fault-tolerant quantum computers
Strengthen the long-term value proposition of quantum computing
Qualification
Required
Are enrolled in a PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
Are 18 years of age or older
Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
Can relocate to where the internship is based
Preferred
Expertise in subarea of quantum algorithms or related topic in theoretical quantum information science
Knowledge of R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting language
Interest is staying abreast of new research developments in the field of quantum computation
