The role involves overseeing all building systems, developing strategic maintenance plans, and managing engineering staff and vendor relationships to enhance building performance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance and continuous operation of all building infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and digital systems
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies incorporating preventive, corrective, and reliability-centered maintenance best practices
Supervise and develop engineering teams and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and professional development initiatives
Manage contractor activities and vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
Maintain regulatory compliance documentation, building drawings, single-lines, and all infrastructure records required by Federal, State, and Local regulations
Support capital projects including BAS, electrical, fuel tank, air compressor, and lab relocation initiatives per MSA requirements
Provide training and technical support on facility management systems including Get Service, ADP, WorkDay, Siemens, and Niagara BAS platforms
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years of building operations and facilities management experience
Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
Proven leadership experience supervising engineering teams and managing complex facility operations
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs, reliability-centered maintenance, and regulatory compliance requirements
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Work in various indoor/outdoor environments and weather conditions
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods
Capability to lift equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
Preferred
Electrical / HVAC license or equivalent trade certifications
EPA Universal 608 certification
Project management experience
Previous vendor management experience
