Director of Production

TH Experiential is a creatively-led experiential agency seeking a Director of Production as a pivotal leader responsible for enhancing operational, creative, and cultural delivery. The role encompasses managing the entire production lifecycle, optimizing workflows, and inspiring collaboration to scale production capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the full production lifecycle from award through closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with support from full-time and freelance Producers
Lead aligned RFPs and client activations, including budgets, timelines, schedules, and core production documents
Manage and grow a trusted vendor ecosystem delivering high-quality, value-driven results; oversee budget integrity, expenses, and P&Ls
Travel as needed to support onsite execution
Build and lead TH’s next-generation Producer team, establishing the right mix of full-time and freelance talent
Mentor and manage Producers to ensure consistent standards, strong delivery, and timely completion of financial and administrative tasks
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational rigor
Assess and optimize current-state Production processes, workflows, and SOPs
Oversee sourcing, bidding, fabrication, logistics, and onsite execution, ensuring quality and cost alignment
Lead vendor negotiations and closeout activities; ensure projects meet margin and profitability goals
Engage directly with executive leadership on key growth initiatives and strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive agency, client, and team success; partner with Creative to ensure alignment between design intent, materials, budget, and execution
Lead production’s role in new business efforts, including budgeting, feasibility, and client-facing confidence-building

Required

8–12+ years in experiential production, leading complex activations for major brands
Deep hands-on expertise across fabrication, technical production, logistics, permitting, vendor management, and onsite execution
Proven leadership managing and developing full-time and freelance Producers
Strong operational and financial acumen, including budgeting, margin management, and P&L oversight
Robust vendor and fabricator network with strong negotiation and relationship skills
Experience shaping production strategy for pitches, RFPs, feasibility, and budgeting
Ability to translate creative vision into executable production plans; strong cross-functional communicator
Calm, solutions-oriented operator who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
Self-directed, detail-oriented, strong follow-through, and willing to travel as needed
Strong operational and financial acumen
Proven leadership skills
Ability to mentor and manage teams
Expertise in production processes and workflows
