Manufacturing Engineer
Dura-Line is a global leader in plastic conduit and infrastructure solutions, seeking a passionate Manufacturing Engineer to improve plant operations. The role involves optimizing production processes, driving cost efficiency, and elevating product quality through collaboration and implementation of lean manufacturing strategies.
Responsibilities
Partner daily with production and quality teams to drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost
Champion Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance workflow, process design, and productivity
Define and control production processes — including documentation, tooling, and equipment specifications
Design and maintain product specifications, ensuring accurate BOMs and routing in the ERP system
Analyze test and production data to identify trends and recommend process optimizations
Lead quality and productivity initiatives using tools such as FMEA, DOE, and statistical analysis
Support capital improvement projects and automation initiatives from concept through implementation
Establish and maintain testing criteria to ensure compliance with ISO 9000, customer, and industry standards
Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure component quality and consistency
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within scope
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)
Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or industrial engineering (plastics experience highly preferred)
Strong understanding of process optimization, equipment specification, and automation is required
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical projects
Preferred
Experience with Application Engineering, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Analysis preferred
Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) design software
