Responsibilities

The Machinery Field Engineer, Electrical and Mechanical performs various Machinery electrical engineering work, as well as mechanical work related to CSI’s equipment: molding, lining, and scoring machines. Installing electrical control upgrades and conversions, developing and revising electrical schematics & BOMs, downloading electrical programs, performing various mechanical assembly and troubleshooting work, etc
Using high precision instruments, fixtures and gauges, the candidate performs required machine staging procedures to ensure equipment is built and setup to engineering specifications
This position performs maintenance activities to CSI’s production equipment, including installation of electrical and mechanical upgrades, as well as refurbishment / rebuild of used machines
The candidate will troubleshoot, diagnose, identify root-causes, and propose solutions that improve performance and reliability of CSI’s equipment. The candidate acts as a technical resource for the Machinery Customer Service team

Able to travel domestically and internationally without assistance as required by specific role
Able to participate in meetings and discussions with peer group and management teams and interact with employees in multiple domestic and international locations and settings

Required

BS degree in electrical engineering with controls emphasis & 3 years of mechanical experience; OR the equivalent experience in the field of electronics and control systems & mechanical work
Thorough understanding of mechanical equipment, circuit analysis, electronics, control systems, signals, power distribution, PLC's, microprocessors and communication systems is required
Ability to develop and revise engineering schematics using AutoCAD, and ability to write program codes for PLCs, HMIs, and servo controls are required
Must have very good working mechanical knowledge and be able to assemble and troubleshoot equipment
Strong team and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate others with enthusiasm and drive
Good organizational & prioritizing skills
The ability to work with minimal supervision is required
Timely responsiveness, follow up, and maintaining accountability are required
Travel is mandatory (up to 30% of the time), and it will include both domestic and international travel
The candidate will comply with all CSI safety policies, procedures and standards
