The Tank Cleaning Technician will operate and set up cleaning equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and perform maintenance tasks related to tank cleaning and equipment inspection.

Responsibilities

Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as low-pressure, high-volume pumps and circulators in accordance with operational, training, guidelines, and safety procedures

Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear

Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heaving industrial settings

Install, fit, repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment

Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, chemical circulators, and general work area prior to starting any job. Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity

Clean different type of petro chemical tanks (crude, diesel, gas etc.)

Proficient in 3 or 2 phase centrifuges (Jenkins, Centrisys)

Familiar with tank cleaning equipment (man way cannons, 18-inch circulation systems, centrifugal pumps and pneumatic pumps)
