Road Logistics Customer Care & Operations Manager

As the Road Logistics Customer Care & Operations Manager, you will oversee daily road freight operations, manage client relationships, and lead a team to achieve key performance indicators while ensuring smooth execution of logistics activities.

Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management - You will act as the main point of contact, processing orders, providing status updates, handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Operations Oversight - Manage all road freight activities, including scheduling pickups/deliveries, booking carriers, coordinating with drivers/agents, and overseeing documentation (BOLs, invoices)
Team Leadership - Supervise, train, and motivate the logistics team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring cross-training
Performance & KPIs - Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like On-Time Delivery (OTD), cost, and order accuracy, implementing corrective actions as needed
Cost & Efficiency - Develop strategies to optimize routes, manage trailer pools, control costs, and improve overall supply chain efficiency
Carrier & Vendor Management - Negotiate with carriers and brokers, monitor their performance, and build strong relationships
Regulatory Compliance - Ensure all operations adhere to DOT regulations, customs requirements for international road freight, and company safety standards
Process Optimization - Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies to increase workflow efficiency and reduce overall logistics costs

Required

A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is needed
5+ years in similar role with strong people management, coaching, and motivational skills
Ability to resolve complex issues proactively and effectively
Familiarity with logistics software systems and analytical skills
Understanding of Geography, Trade compliance, Cross Border processes (US- Mexico) and Customs

Preferred

Bilingual in Spanish and English would be an asset
Comfortable to Travel to Mexico as per Business Needs
