Responsibilities
Oversee and manage a team of attorneys and case managers
Responsible for hiring, training, and, if necessary, terminating team members to ensure top performance and alignment with the firm’s goals
Regularly review and assess the performance of attorneys and case managers
Ensure they meet case management expectations and adhere to deadlines
Handle a personal caseload of personal injury cases from inception through resolution
Meet with attorneys and case managers to ensure all cases are managed effectively and deadlines are consistently met
Provide compassionate and effective representation to clients
Prioritize their needs and interests throughout the legal process to ensure a favorable outcome
Maintain open communication with clients to keep them informed about case progress and their legal options
Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance companies to secure favorable settlements for clients
Represent clients in various court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations, etc
Work collaboratively with the legal team to share insights and develop strategies for case management and advocacy
Foster an environment of mutual support and knowledge sharing
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing
A minimum of 10 years' experience in a personal injury law firm is highly desirable
Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively
Strong skills in interpersonal communication, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple cases and priorities efficiently
Proficiency in office software and database systems
Aptitude for identifying issues and developing effective solutions to keep cases on track
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable outcomes for clients
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities
