Responsibilities

Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, including case preparation, discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
Provide strategic legal advice to employers, insurers, and third-party administrators on workers’ compensation matters
Manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution, ensuring that all client goals are met in a timely manner
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and medical professionals
Stay current on workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and trends in California

Qualification

Juris Doctor (JD)California State Bar membershipWorkers' compensation defense experienceCalifornia workers' compensation lawsWCAB process familiarity

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in the State Bar of California, in good standing
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in workers' compensation defense
Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws
Familiarity with the WCAB (Workers' Compensation Appeals Board) process
