Marketing Applied Scientist
Uber is seeking an Applied Scientist to tackle significant marketing analytics and ad tech challenges. The role involves designing experiments, building models for marketing performance optimization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
Strong expertise in experimentation design and causal inference methodology, accountable for the end-to-end Paid channel incrementality and optimization testings
Build production grade models on large-scale datasets to optimize marketing performance by utilizing advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization modeling etc
Use models to address key growth challenges and provide meaningful insights on problems in Channel Optimization including user value modeling, bidding optimization, targeting optimization etc
Work with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy models and improve analytical solutions by providing data-driven recommendations
Use large scale data processing such as Spark, Hive, and Uber's proprietary machine learning platform, and more
Collaborate with marketing leadership, product and engineering teams. Participate in project planning/prioritization meetings, partner meetings, data prioritization meetings, etc
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Math, or another quantitative field
Relevant experience in machine learning, optimization and advanced analytics
Expertise with Python
Advanced SQL skills - comfortable working with very large data sets

Preferred
Experience with big data using technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Spark a plus
Previous experience in advertising tech (e.g. market response modeling, forecasting, attribution, targeting, 3rd party data integration, and etc) is a plus
Great communication skills, organized, able to multitask, and be a great teammate
Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution
