Responsibilities
Oversee the budget preparation and management
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and audits
Provide oversight of the operations and activities related to insurance, risk management
Serve as CalPERS liaison for contract administration/actuarials
Monitor dozens of funding sources
Oversee payroll compliance
Qualification
Required
Thorough understanding of accounting, finance, budget, audit and grant operations and supervision, to include GAAP, GAAS and GFOA standards
Strong verbal and written communications skills for purposes of assisting in reporting to the Board
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage a large and diverse number of projects simultaneously
Strong leader who shares the vision of the council and community, and can advocate, articulate, and implement that vision
Ability to blend innovation and creativity, and think outside the box
