Event Coordinator (TEMP)

The University of Central Florida's Student Union is seeking an Event Coordinator to manage the scheduling and reservation process for various facilities. This role involves overseeing reservations for student organizations, campus departments, and public clients, while supporting the Event Manager II with daily coordination tasks.

Responsibilities

Supervises reservation of space and equipment for meetings, conferences, conventions, and special events in the Student Union controlled facilities including the Live Oak Event Center
Reviews client requests on the use of SU facilities and equipment, inputs reservation information and prepares reservation confirmations
Manages non-academic reservations for classroom spaces, campus-wide
Advises clients on their food service needs and other event programming requests and helps connect them with internal and external vendors
Communicates with student workers and other campus resources regarding specific client requests or concerns

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Demonstrated experience in event planning or coordination
Prior experience working in a college or university setting
Familiarity with event management software, such as EMS Reservation System or Amadeus Diagramming
