Regional Survey Manager

The GEL Group, Inc. is a niche professional services firm providing Surveying, Subsurface Utility Engineering, and Laser Scanning services. They are seeking a Regional Survey Manager to lead survey crews, manage projects, and expand their services in the Southeastern United States.

Environmental Services

Responsibilities

Performing and documenting field work and office CAD production for survey projects
Managing survey crews and providing quality control for all survey deliverables
Ability to scope, negotiate and manage survey projects
Applying appropriate principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to various types of surveying projects
Preparing results of field work in written and/or electronic format
Cultivating existing and identifying new markets and clients for growth within the Mid-Atlantic region
Facilitating professional development of survey staff
Providing exceptional customer service
Focusing on quality and helping to ensure QA/QC procedures are followed
Understanding of applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, ordinances and professional ethics
Demonstrating and supporting GEL’s core values

Qualification

Professional Land Surveyor licenseCAD software proficiencyProject managementBusiness developmentSurveying techniquesMicrosoft Office 365Communication skillsOrganizational skillsInterpersonal skills

Required

Minimum of 2 years' experience managing survey projects
Professional Land Surveyor license required (North Carolina license preferred)
Demonstrated proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation)
Experience in preparing ALTA plats and deliverables
Proven track record of successful business to business selling and marketing of surveying services
Survey experience on North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and other transportation projects a plus
50 lbs lifting requirement, ability to transport equipment across rugged terrain
Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Skilled with Microsoft Office 365 applications including: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred

Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Survey or Geomatics preferred
