Responsibilities
Transaction Processing: Recording daily business transactions such as funds received and disbursed into the general ledger or accounting software
Accounts Management: Handling Accounts Payable (AP) by verifying and processing vendor invoices, and Accounts Receivable (AR) by generating customer invoices and tracking payments
Reconciliation: Comparing bank and credit card statements with internal records to identify and resolve discrepancies
Financial Reporting: Preparing routine summaries and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and aging reports for management
Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll by gathering timesheets, verifying hours, and processing deductions and taxes
Administrative Tasks: Maintaining organized digital and physical filing systems, answering phone inquiries, and assisting with year-end audits
Qualification
Required
An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, or Sage
Precision is critical, as minor data entry errors can lead to significant financial or legal issues
Effective communication for dealing with vendors and clients
Strong organizational abilities
A high level of integrity for handling sensitive data
