Responsibilities
Assist senior staff on a variety of engineering projects including, but not limited to: traffic and safety analysis; development of conceptual and final design plans; development of pavement marking, signage, and signal plans, technical specifications, and estimates; design and feasibility reports; field data collection; and proposal and presentation assistance
Work closely with other civil engineering disciplines for multi-disciplinary projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree – Civil Engineering
Relevant internship or 1-4 years' experience of progressive responsibility in Traffic Engineering. Recent grads considered
Ability to work in team environment as an individual contributor
Organized and able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently across multiple projects and deliverables
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to utilize critical thinking, judgment, and experience to define, analyze, and resolve issues
Preferred
EIT preferred
Experience with AutoCAD and Synchro preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office, HCS, and Vissim a plus
Familiarity MUTCD, HCM, HSM, and AASHTO a plus
Experience with MassDOT standards and deliverables a plus
