The role includes overseeing clerks, managing merchandising, inventory levels, and ensuring high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times

Responsible for the overall merchandising of the Floral Department, including product arrangements, displays, rotation and FTD

Responsible for observing local market conditions and competitive activity relating to Floral Department and keep store management and floral merchandising informed

Responsible for the overall accounting procedures of the Floral department

Responsible for ordering all merchandise and supplies for the Floral department in order to achieve the overall department conditions as per company standards

Responsible for the delivery of flowers and plants upon customer requests

Ensure that all customer orders and deliveries are accurately fulfilled

Ensure that all corporate and state sanitation and safety regulations and procedures are followed

Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times

Ensure quality and freshness of all fresh flowers and live plants

Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times with customers throughout the store

May have to occasionally assist produce department with merchandising

Responsible for training all new associates in floral operations

Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures
