MPHI is a Michigan-based and nationally engaged, non-profit public health institute. This position helps administer programs within the Policy and Planning Bureau of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, supporting the Rural Health Transformation Program and coordinating external partner engagement.

Responsibilities

Support the work of the Rural Health Transformation Program
Manage external engagement efforts with rural partners for the Rural Health Transformation Program
Support the Rural Health Transformation Advisory Council, including meeting coordination, agenda development, material preparation and follow-up
Facilitate monthly coalition meetings and ongoing communication with advisory council members and partners
Support partner alignment around shared goals, best practices and collaborative implementation strategies
Coordinate external partner engagement activities, including outreach to rural health systems and rural partners
Develop engagement materials, summaries and communications for internal and external partners
Track partner feedback and share insights to inform program planning and decision-making
Strengthen relationships with rural partners to support sustainability and long-term transformation efforts
Draft correspondence and develop presentations
Prepare various formal reports and/or briefings
Present information to internal and external groups
All other duties as assigned
Always represent the best interests of MPHI and MDHHS

Required

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
At least 2-3 years of experience of outreach and engagement experience
Ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate a variety of data for use in program development and analysis
Ability to organize, evaluate and present information effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to learn and utilize computer processes
Ability to work well with others on a team, work independently, and multi-task within tight deadlines
Knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint; Adobe Acrobat

Preferred

Experience developing and implementing comprehensive engagement strategies
