Engineering Manager
Aspire Communications is seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to lead their engineering, design, and permitting teams. This role involves managing design, engineering, and permitting projects with a focus on Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and GPON initiatives, ensuring successful project execution and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage a small team of drafters and permitting specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards
Project Management: Oversee all design, engineering, and permitting projects, including all FTTx and GPON initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
Fiber Design: Lead fiber allocation and designing efforts, working closely with design teams to optimize network designs for maximum efficiency and performance
Vendor Management: Collaborate with 3rd party design vendors and subcontractors to ensure project requirements and quality standards are met
GIS Expertise: Utilize GIS software, including ArcGIS, QGIS, and other tools, to assist in project planning, spatial analysis, and data management
Permitting: Manage the permitting process, working with regulatory authorities and local agencies to secure the necessary approvals for project implementation
Quality Assurance: Ensure all engineering and design work adheres to industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Including responsibility for all asbuilting needs
Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including project plans, schedules, contracts, and change orders
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in engineering and project management, with a focus on FTTH and GPON projects
Proficiency in GIS software, including ArcGIS and QGIS, and design tools like Vetro FiberMap and AutoCAD
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in fiber optic network design and engineering
