Linux System Administrator
Confidential company is seeking a Linux and Network Systems Administrator to assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of Linux-based systems and network infrastructure. The role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of Linux systems and network infrastructure in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities
Analyze, operate, maintain, and upgrade current Linux systems, architectures, and processes
Identify risks, opportunities, faults, and areas for development within the company’s Linux infrastructure
Design system solutions and solve Linux-related issues effectively with a keen focus on system and network security
Plan and oversee system upgrades, patches, and software installations
Assist with setting up new Linux servers, services, and environments
Assist in resolving technical issues across various departments related to Linux systems
Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests related to Linux system issues
Maintain Linux servers, including upgrades and configuration as needed
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash and Python
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Docker containers and images
Support Linux workloads running in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and on-premise
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Routing & Switching, IP Protocols, Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Server installation and configuration, System monitoring System Rotations, Backup and recovery, Server security hardening, VLANs, Subnets, Web hosting experience
At minimum of 3 years of experience in a Linux or systems-related IT position
Experience with or knowledge of Linux desktop and server operating systems; current equipment and technologies; enterprise backup and recovery procedures; and system performance-monitoring tools
Experience and/or working knowledge of Amazon Web Services
Working knowledge of Docker and container technologies
Basic knowledge of IP networking, data processes, program architectures, and data security
Ability to work independently
Preferred
Preferred Bachelor's Degree (BA) in computer science, business information systems, information technology, or other related fields preferred (but additional experience may be substituted)
