Social Media Manager (CENTCOM Public Affairs Directorate)
Hoplite Group is seeking a Social Media Manager to support contracted services for the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Public Affairs Directorate. The role involves executing communication strategies, managing social media platforms, and ensuring accurate information dissemination to both U.S. and regional audiences while employing digital tools for analysis and monitoring.

Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the planning and execution of CCPA’s English and foreign language social media platforms, ensuring all activities align with strategic communication goals
Supervise Regional Media Analysts in the creation and coordination of region-specific social media plans, ensuring the content resonates with diverse audiences
Develop, synchronize, and publish frequent social media posts, with a focus on maintaining consistent messaging, particularly during crisis events or when directed by senior CENTCOM leadership
Work closely with leadership to ensure the timely dissemination of critical messages during high-impact events or periods of heightened operational tempo
Analyze performance data from social media platforms, focusing on metrics like viewership, followership, and region-specific trends, to inform and refine future communication strategies
Prepare monthly reports that include detailed insights, best practices, and recommendations based on CENTCOM-related digital media usage
Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track performance and provide actionable insights to CCPA leadership
Ensure security compliance across CCPA’s social media platforms, aligning with CENTCOM and DOD security policies to safeguard digital communication
Regularly review platform access protocols, account security, and best practices to minimize risks and ensure compliance with established security requirements
The Social Media Manager will develop and implement a comprehensive digital communication strategy that aligns with USCENTCOM’s strategic objectives, ensuring effective engagement across English and foreign language social media platforms
Provide regular updates to CCPA’s English and foreign language social media platforms, ensuring consistency with key messages and strategic goals
Track and monitor social media aliases of key individuals and organizations within the CENTCOM-related environment
Maintain an updated database of these entities
Provide engagement recommendations based on real-time tracking, ensuring alignment with communication objectives and regional sensitivities
Provide monthly reports that offer insights into social media performance, including platform prioritization, engagement effectiveness, and recommendations for improvement
Develop and maintain a monthly digital media publication plan, specifying the platforms and languages for content, incorporating input from the Regional Media Analysts to ensure culturally informed and region-specific messaging
Search and collect data from diverse sources, including online platforms, databases, publications, and reports
Analyze the collected information to identify trends, patterns, and insights that may be valuable for the organization
Evaluate the credibility and reliability of the information gathered to ensure that accurate and trustworthy data is used for decision-making
Prepare reports, summaries, or presentations based on analysis to communicate findings to relevant stakeholders within the organization
Continuously monitor sources for new information relevant to the organization and set up alerts or notifications to ensure timely awareness of important developments
Assess potential risks and opportunities based on the information gathered, helping the organization to make informed decisions and mitigate potential threats
Collaborate with other Specialists or departments within the organization to share insights and coordinate responses to emerging issues
Stay updated on tools and technologies used for information gathering and analysis, such as data mining software, social media monitoring tools, and analytical platforms
Engage with external stakeholders to exchange information, collaborate on analysis efforts, and build partnerships for mutual benefit
Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards governing the collection and use of publicly and commercially available information, including privacy laws and intellectual property rights
Provide training to colleagues on effective methods for gathering and analyzing publicly and commercially available information or contribute to the development of best practices within the organization
During crisis situations or emergencies, provide real-time updates and analysis to support decision-making and response efforts
Ensure the accuracy, relevance, and reliability of the information analyzed, employing rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of data integrity
Participate in strategic planning processes by providing insights and recommendations based on the analysis of publicly and commercially available information, helping to shape the organization's goals and priorities
Qualification
Required
Must have a minimum SECRET clearance prior to Contract award
At least 3 years of experience in a related social media management role, with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in communications, marketing, or a related field
Proven ability to create engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring that posts are dynamic, informative, and align with CENTCOM's communication objectives
A strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and the ability to apply these principles to enhance the visibility of content across digital platforms
Proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media dashboards) to track social media performance, generate reports, and make data-driven recommendations
