Jobs via Dice is seeking a SAP BASIS Consultant to manage and enhance SAP environments. The role involves database administration, system performance management, and providing technical upgrades and support for SAP software products.

Responsibilities

Role is expected to have occasional on-call responsibilities interaction with clients for consultation, project execution, SAP landscape performance tuning, and other activities associated with support of leveraged SAP environments

Work with OS DB Administrators for optimal SAP Performance

Database administration IBM DB26 and SAP HANA, ability to perform database upgrades, apply Fix packs, optimizing and tuning databases, handle nightly backups and their integration with third party backup systems, backup and restore strategies, database security, database problem determination and resolution

Manage system performance, upgrades, corrections, and transport management (CTSTMS), client and landscape strategies, batch scheduling

Provide technical upgrades functional and technical enhancements

Installation, upgrade and maintenance of SAP and SAP related software products

Maintain HANA database, perform patch and service stack upgrades

SAP XI including the installation of adapters provided by SAP and external partners, configuration of the required system connections to partner systems and activation of basic XI monitoring
