Responsibilities

Serve as the Geospatial Technician (Survey) for the Walla Walla District
Perform Surveying and Mapping services
Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Building Information Modeling (BIM), advanced modeling, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Create contract specifications, Architect-Engineer (A-E) service contracts, contract drawings, scope of work, government estimates, negotiation of contracts, and field data collection and reduction
Support large, multi-functional civil works projects during the planning, design, construction, and operation phases

Required

US Citizenship
One year of specialized experience for GS-07 which includes learning theories, principles, concepts, standards, and/or methods of fundamental surveying of field data collection
One year of specialized experience for GS-08 which includes experience applying theories, principles, concepts, standards, and/or methods of fundamental surveying of field data collection
One year of specialized experience for GS-09 which includes experience applying theories, principles, concepts, standards, and/or methods of fundamental surveying, including basic topography or Unmanned Aerial Surveying
One year of specialized experience for GS-10 which includes experience applying theories, principles, concepts, standards, and/or methods of surveying with an emphasis in topographic surveying or Unmanned Aerial Surveying
One year of specialized experience for GS-11 which includes experience applying theories, principles, concepts, standards, and/or methods of surveying as they relate to topographic, Unmanned Aerial Surveying techniques, and public land surveying
Valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Regular field work which involves physical exertion
Regular and recurring exposure to hazards and conditions at construction sites or large hydropower projects
Submission of a copy of transcripts with application package if qualifying based on education

Preferred

Surveying licensure and/or training is highly desirable and should be mentioned within resume if attained (e.g. Land Surveyor Intern (LSI), Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT), surveying related education or training, etc.)
