Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
Maintain and support VoIP systems, PBX hardware/software, SIP trunks, and related telecom infrastructure
Implement and enforce network security measures including firewalls, access control, and IDS/IPS systems
Perform regular network performance analysis, patching, and apply optimizations as needed
Manage and support network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Monitor network activity using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent
Coordinate with third-party telecom vendors and service providers for service delivery and issue resolution
Create and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, and change logs
Provide technical support to end-users and helpdesk staff for network or telecom-related issues
Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution of network-related backup and failover procedures
Qualification
Required
5 years of experience in network and telecommunications administration required
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP), DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies required
Familiarity with network security tools and best practices required
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team required
Experience with VoIP and telephony systems required
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent preferred
Scripting knowledge for automation of routine tasks preferred
