Responsibilities

Installing new systems at customer sites and training users on system operation
Maintaining and repairing existing systems and troubleshooting problems
Effectively performing customer technical support functions onsite and remotely
Establishing and maintaining professional working relations with customers
Promptly and courteously resolving questions, requests, and problems
Creating customer quotes for spare parts and service
Maintaining the Company’s professional reputation by providing superior customer service
Completing required documentation including installation reports, expense reports, and travel approval forms

Required

Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
Travel in California and the surrounding area required. Travel throughout the U.S. and Canada as needed
Travel approximately 75-80% of the time
Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly
Should have strong mechanical, electrical and training skills
Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Will be able to troubleshoot and resolve uncommon problems
Must be customer oriented and must be able to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner with customers and end users as well as other M. Braun employees
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision
High School Diploma; additional technical training or relevant experience is required
Physical Requirement: Balancing; climbing; bending; stooping; crawling; some light, moderate, heavy lifting and carrying; must have fine motor skills; be able to grasp small items; kneeling; pushing; reaching above shoulder; pulling hand over hand; ability to do a repetitive motion; and the ability to sit, stand and walk for most of the day. Mobility requirement enough to move around the production area safely and various types of customer locations
Visual Requirement: Must be able to visually read documents, read from a computer screen, see system details
Hearing Requirement: Must be able to hear and speak on the phone and in person to convey information. Must be able to identify hazard sounds and be aware of the environment on the production floor/customer sites for safety
Mental Requirement: Comprehension, Organization, Reasoning, Decision Making, Communication, and Mathematics

Preferred

Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat a plus, but not required
Working knowledge of control systems and PLC's. Ability to program PLC's is not required
Experience with vacuum systems
Experience with gas and fluid systems
Experience with temperature control (heating and cooling)
