This role involves deep engagement in day-to-day accounting while serving as a strategic finance leader, overseeing a small accounting team and ensuring compliance and financial planning.

Responsibilities
Own corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Personally stay involved in month-end close and complex accounting matters
Serve as primary contact for banks, auditors, and tax partners
Oversee internal controls, audits, and compliance
Lead cash flow analysis and financial planning
Provide oversight of HR, payroll, benefits administration, and 401(k)
Train, develop, and mentor the current Controller to step into expanded responsibility over time
Qualification
Required
Senior Controller, Controller, or CFO background
Strong operational or manufacturing accounting experience
Comfortable being both strategic and tactical
Natural mentor and steady leader
Someone looking for stability, impact, and legacy, not job hopping
Preferred
CPA preferred, not required
