Responsibilities

Manages the Work Smarter Optimization Program (WSOP) and ensures the CFCs are supported through all aspects of the program
Manages and coordinates with the CFC Leadership team the Slotting Optimization of inventory within the locations in each facility
Manages data collection effort for Total Process Reliability program to identify areas of opportunity with the conveyor system at each facility
Leads and develops a team of experienced Process Improvement Engineers with a direct report at each CFC
Supports the MSC Supply Chain Engineering Services program that builds upon the strategy to Optimize the Entire Supply Chain and helps MSC customers reduce their cost to serve
Ensures the accuracy of all the engineered standards, standard operating procedures, and Labor Reporting system in CFC network. Makes recommendations on improvements to CFC leadership team
Coordinates training program for all CFC associates on the Work Smarter Optimization Program and how baselines are built
Conducts cross-functional meetings in support of WSOP initiatives to develop key measures of success and monitor performance against these measures
Works cross-functionally to identify and implement Best Methods to ensure most effective and efficient processes
Develops and documents “Standard Cost Data” for use in cost analysis to evaluate financial feasibility of potential projects and process improvements
Performs all duties inherent in the role of an MSC Manager including, hiring, coaching, and development of associates
Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

Required

A bachelor's degree in engineering is required
Minimum of five years engineering experience in a distribution environment is required
Minimum of two years of experience managing associates required
Experience and understanding of 'Incentive' and 'Accountability' programs
Experience in implementing and maintaining an Engineered Standards program
Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and SQL is required
Excellent data manipulation skills are required
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also required
Demonstrated excellence in project management of multi-facility projects

Preferred

Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) Certified preferred
AutoCAD capability is preferred
