Responsibilities

Performing special repairs and assignments that are received by work orders from authorized personnel

Identifying the cause of a problem & determining materials, tools and method of repair

Carrying out repair procedures independently on most jobs

Performing preventative maintenance functions as required and outlined in the preventative maintenance plans

Training and/or supervising the work of offender helpers as needed

Required

High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma

Three years of progressive experience in the installation, maintenance or repair of air conditioning chillers, air handling, chilled water distribution and control systems

Current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations part 82, subpart F
