Responsibilities

Working with dealers and end customers to successfully DET Technology into Mining applications. This includes sharing knowledge for both the physical installation and controls integration
Ensuring a product’s technical specifications and capabilities are communicated to the sales force
Providing technical assistance as needed to enable the sale and integration of the product. This involves verbal & written communication as well as field support activities
Serving as a subject matter expert to support product development efforts by providing critical customer input on market requirements and product optimization
Developing and maintaining application and installation manuals and technical communications
Preparing and conducting product and application training for dealers and end customers, as well as assisting customers and dealers with complex or unique applications

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering
Strong technical background in product support, engineering, or field service
Experience with electrification, power systems, heavy equipment or mine site operations
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information effectively
Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups
Ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations
Strong foundation in product support: understanding customer needs, solving problems, and delivering value through service and expertise
A commitment to provide prompt, high quality responses to customer requests which may sometimes require extended workdays and travel
Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies
Ability to use these to deepen own expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside own organization
Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives
Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis
Ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques
Ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment

Preferred

Deep experience with switchgear, AC distribution and parallel operations and controls
Mining industry experience in a technical support role
Experience with design and/or application of Mining products
Demonstrated high levels of motivation (self-starter / take initiative)
