Responsibilities

Provides technical support to set-up personnel, manufacturing, and engineering in all phases of manufacturing
Participates in continuous improvement activities to improve OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) metrics through downtime reduction, cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and improved efficiency
Troubleshoots, identifies, implements, and maintains controls systems throughout the plant
Conducts manufacturing process verification
Develops work standards for current tools, machines, and equipment and maintains accurate records
Provides training/work direction to other staff
Assists with PM’s and performs other duties as necessary

Required

B.S. Degree in area of Manufacturing/Electrical Engineering Technology or a minimum of 3 years' experience troubleshooting PLCs, Vision Systems, Robotics, and/or Servo Systems
Demonstrated ability to establish communication with all controls systems in area of responsibility for troubleshooting and programming purposes
Demonstrated good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external contacts and work in a team environment
Must be able to lead, train, and support other staff
Strong project management and problem-solving skills to work on projects independently under minimal work direction
Significant related work experience or equivalent with the ability to develop a complete program for either a PLC or Robotic system
Strong technical knowledge in manufacturing engineering field and broad business knowledge including business goals and systems
Understands the interrelated nature of department processes and evaluates operation of systems, technical equipment and/or procedures to correct and enhance output
Ability to resolve unique work issues requiring significant creative and original thinking to define/determine project and information requirements, research and coordinate information, compile data, draw conclusions, and present it to influence opinions, decisions, and actions

Experience with the following manufacturers is preferred: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc, Denso, Cognex, Keyence, GVI, Yaskawa, Bekhoff, and Wago
