Supported Employment Specialist II (Job Coach)

SOAR365 is dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with disabilities. As a Supported Employment Specialist II, you will help individuals with disabilities achieve meaningful employment by providing job coaching, developing employer partnerships, and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive direct and indirect job coaching and employment supports to individuals with disabilities
Conducting situational assessments and implementing effective training techniques to build and sustain employment skills
Leads job development, coaching, and follow-along services to support competitive integrated employment
Consistently meeting billable hour expectations
Responsible for completing intakes, employment plans, case notes, and reports using Netsmart
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
Providing transportation when needed
Mentoring Employment Specialist I staff
Supporting understanding of DARS and Medicaid Waiver processes
Maintaining active relationships with at least eight inclusive business partners
Identifying program challenges and recommending solutions
Collaborating with leadership on program objectives
Effectively supporting volunteers and interns
Requires schedule flexibility
Participation in trainings and meetings
Ongoing compliance with all agency policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in human services, education, social work, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field
At least two years of experience in supported employment, employment services, workforce development, or pre-employment transition services
ACRE Certification and/or Certified Supported Employment Professional credentials
Strong relationship-building skills with individuals with disabilities, employers, families, and partner agencies
Ability to apply a person-first, positive behavioral support approach to employment planning
Proficiency in documentation and case management systems
Problem-solving skills
Ability to mentor others
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Successful completion of a SOAR365 driving test
Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Therapeutic Options certifications
Schedule flexibility (nights and weekends required)
