Responsibilities
Manages the daily activities, workload, and performance of a 24/7 operational watch floor team to ensure mission readiness
Gathers, analyzes, and disseminates critical information, ensuring a timely and accurate flow of communication to senior leadership and external partners
Monitors global and national events, assesses their potential impact on the organization's mission, and identifies emerging threats or trends
Identifies, analyzes, and develops courses of action to resolve complex, time-sensitive operational challenges as they arise
Makes critical, time-sensitive decisions during rapidly evolving events or crises to ensure immediate and appropriate responses from the team
Prepares and delivers clear and concise oral and written briefings on operational matters to executive-level decision-makers
Acts as a central point of contact during crises, facilitating coordination and information sharing among federal, state, and local partners to ensure a unified response
Coaches and develops watch standers to improve team performance, operational readiness, and individual professional growth
Qualification
Required
One year of specialized experience which includes developing emergency plans or procedures
Providing recommendations to management on potential threat responses
Overseeing the work of employees
Advising management on emergency management policies or procedures
Ability to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance
Ability to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules
Ability to travel for business up to 10% of the time
Ability to take a series of anthrax vaccine immunizations to include annual boosters
Ability to meet the time-in-grade requirement of 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12)
