SECURITY SPECIALIST (TRAINING)

Responsibilities

Serves as the focal point for the security forces training program, coordinating and implementing all training activities for the unit
Conducts training classes for security forces personnel
Develops and monitors the accomplishment of security forces training plans and obtains and develops training aids and materials
Attends, arranges, and conducts meetings, briefings, and workshops and performs other duties related to security forces training

Required

U.S. Citizenship Required
Males must be registered for Selective Service
The employee will be required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
Department of Defense Security Physical Security Certification conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems
Working knowledge of a range of security forces policies, procedures, and practices
Applying a working knowledge of the overall security forces missions, functions, and structure
Developing course materials and instructional methods, principles, and techniques
Instructing training courses in a classroom seminar setting
Communicating effectively, orally and in writing
If qualifying on education/position requires education, you must submit copies of your transcripts

Preferred

A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position
A combination of education and experience that provides knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field
