LEAD EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (ELECTRONIC)

USAJOBS is seeking a Lead Equipment Specialist for the 68 Electronic Warfare Squadron. The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise and advice as the equipment specialist for the United States Air Force, ensuring the effective operation and support of Electronic Warfare equipment.

Responsibilities

Serves as Team Leader with responsibility to the supervisor for assuring that the work of the team is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties and responsibilities
Electronic Warfare (EW) Equipment Tester
Subject Matter Expert on Electronic Warfare equipment
Conducts research and development on Electronic Warfare equipment

A Top secret security clearance is required
If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement
This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Position may be subject to random drug testing
Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
Employee must maintain current certifications

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems
Current knowledge of wide range of maintenance concepts, principles, and practices of the Electronics Warfare systems and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex assignments
Skill in providing technical and analyzing complex technical problems and developing innovative solutions
Skill in providing technical advice in terms of oral and written briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and/or senior engineers
Skill in developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and working cooperatively as a member of a team
Skill in analyzing and interpreting software coding, engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical data
Ability to plan, organize, and reprioritize work to meet changing deadlines. Ability to provide skilled and technically accurate support to senior technical leadership
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
