Administer resources and operational activities to ensure the development of audit programs

Execute internal and special audits that aid management in the assessments of programs and contract management

Lead, plan and perform internal audits for the Department of Health

Oversee financial audits, including financial year end audits, grant and budget audits, contract compliance audits and performance audits

Present audit findings to upper management with suggestions on ways to improve audit compliance

Work closely with the Deputy Secretary on compliance and make recommendations on proposed corrective action plans for audit findings

Work with Division Directors on proposing internal control measures to ensure compliance with federal and state rules and regulations

Apply the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
