Responsibilities

Oversee the daily decision-making processes related to the field surveys assigned to your team

Supervise the determination of elevations, locations, and distances within the designated survey area

Manage the electronic downloading and editing of survey data through the Department's Computer Aided Drafting and Design System (CADD)

Provide guidance to your crew regarding their daily tasks and work efforts

Consult with the Chief of Surveys or Project Managers for significant decisions concerning survey requirements

Required

One year of experience as a Survey Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

Four years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments; or

Two years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments, and an associate's degree in surveying, drafting, design, civil or any other appropriate field of engineering technology

This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license

You must meet the PA residency requirement

You must be able to perform essential job functions

You must pass a background investigation
